Dr Hon Lun (Alan) Wong
Alan worked together with Brendan Burns at UNSW during his PhD which he completed in 2018. Alan is an expert on all things microbial mats and dark matter, publishing extensively. After his PhD he moved to the Czech Republic for a postdoc at the Institute of Hydrobiology, Biology Centre. From here he moved to the Max-Planck-Institut für Marine Mikrobiologie in Germany. He still collaborates with the Burnslab on a range of projects, including the rare biosphere and viruses.
