Marily Syrmalis

Marily is the newest member of the Burnslab, embarking on her Honours journey with the aim of characterising gene expression of novel Asgard archaea enriched in culture. This will be addressed employing for the first time metatranscriptomics to determine key aspects of growth, metabolism, and markers of eukaryotic-like function.
