East Meets West - Building an Oyster Reef from Shark Bay Shells

This week marked Diversity week at UNSW, and members of the Burns Lab contributed to an Indigenous artwork, a ‘growing’ oyster reef with indigenous artist-in-residence, Sarah Moore. Brendan, exchange student Lauren and collaborator Pieter Visscher visiting from the States all got their hands dirty while the oysters sung. And a nice touch was the addition to the piece of some tiny shells bought back from Shark Bay by Pieter.
