Stephanie Nobs
Steph first started in the Burns Lab as a third-year student as part of an intern course (BABS3301). She has since finished her Honours in the lab and is now doing a PhD jointly supervised with Dr Kate Michie, working on unravelling the fascinating world of the Asgard archaea. Her work is focused on the cytoskeleton of the Asgard Archaea, looking specifically at the Tubulin Superfamily, as a predecessor to the Eukaryotic cytoskeleton. Her research will contribute to illuminating the processes surrounding eukaryogenesis.
Steph is also the lab’s resident amateur latin dance enthusiast.
