Laurene LeClerc

Laurene is a new PhD student in the group, undertaking a project with collaborator Nathan Lo at Sydney University on tick-borne diseases. Laurene’s project involves characterising the microbiome of Australian human-biting ticks for the detection of pathogens. Laurene has experience working with eukaryotes, bacteria, and viruses, and once she works on archaea she will have completed the whole ‘life’ set.
